Mary Samuels is a Long Island artist who works primarily in oil, acrylic and watercolor. Her body of work is mostly inspired by nature: gardens in sunlight, trees, flowers and ponds find their way into her repertoire of work.

As Mary states;

  "Nature feeds my soul,  I come alive in spring. The colors just beckon to be  painted.

    I don't paint anything too tight or exact. I take a more impressionistic approach. I paint emotion or feelings as opposed to trying to duplicate something, such as a flower that is already perfect in reality."
